Weekly News Round Up: 16/03/14

There’s been a huge amount of new tracks this week.

Seahaven have revealed another song from their upcoming release ‘Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only’. ‘Love To Burn’ follows the previously released ‘Silhouette (Latin Skin)‘ and ‘Flesh‘. Give the track  a listen over at Impose Magazine. ‘Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only’ is set for release next Monday via Run For Cover Records.

New Jersey’s The Front Bottoms have released a new track ‘Burn Harvard Burn’. The song, originally written by Glenn Morrow, appears on the soundtrack to Hairbrained which came out in February. Give it a listen below!

Leicester rockers Speaking In Italics have announced a new single and a tour to back it up. The track is called ‘Chasing Our Tails’ and act as a hint for what’s too come. Tour dates are as follows:

Pop-punk legends Taking Back Sunday are streaming the entirety of ‘Happiness Is’ ahead of its release on the 17th March via Hopeless Records. It’s a banger and definitely worth investing in when the time comes. Check it out below and have a read of our review here!

I Am The Avalanche are streaming their new record ‘Wolverines’ over on billboard.com and whilst you’re at it, you can also find our review right here. ‘Wolverines’ is out for general release on March 18th.

La Dispute are streaming the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2011′s excellent ‘Wildlife’ in full over at Noisey. The Michigan post-hardcore quintet’s third release is everything you’d expect, honed and polished.

Australia’s Tonight Alive have announced a UK tour for November. The band are currently on the road supporting All Time Low so it’ll be mighty good to see the gang take the reigns themselves. You can check them out at the following dates:

Punk Rock Holiday has added more bands to its already awesome line up. Gnarwolves,
Bane
Counterpunch,
The Go Set and
Implants have joined Architechts, Reel Big Fish and more for the Slovenian festival this August.

With 8 more bands still to be announced, it’s set to be a big weekend.

Reading and Leeds have really brought out the big guns for this summer’s bank holiday weekend rock fest. Paramore and Queens Of The Stone Age have been announced as co-headliners along with a bunch of other additions including the likes of Don Broco, Lower Than Atlantis, Basement and A Day To Remember.

Tickets for Reading and Leeds, including a £50 deposit scheme, are available now.

Florida’s The Fest have announced the dates for the main FEST and the Pre-Fest, which will be over the course of five days this year. The punk rock festival will be in Tampa on October 29th and 30th for Pre-Fest and October 30th and November 1st for the The Fest. The new site will go live on April 1st and to go with that we’ll have the first set of bands announced.

Following yesterdays news that ex New Found Glory guitarist Steve Klein is due to appear in court later this month for a variety of charges in relation to lewd contact with a minor, both the band and Steve Klein’s lawyer have issued a response. You can read them here.
