Submitted by Mark: “Haymarket Riot has entered Electrical Audio studios in Chicago with Steve Albini (Nirvana, Jawbreaker, Flogging Molly, Tortoise) to record a new record. Due out in April 04, this will be their first full length CD in more than 2 years. Some of our spies at Thick HQ have snuck into recording sessions and have reported amazing things. Also on board for the sessions to lend his producing talents is John Congleton of the Paper Chase. This record will be the follow up to 2001’s “Bloodshot Eyes“; the groups first full length on Thick Records. The press has referred to Haymarket as “distinctly reminiscent of Fugazi” and a band that plays “some of the best hard-edged indie rock our city (Chicago) has to offer.” For those of you unfamiliar with Haymarket Riot, you can check out songs from “Bloodshot Eyes” over at mp3.com (http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/580/haymarket_riot.html).”
