Alpha Male Tea Party have announced that they will be playing a charity fundraiser with Bearfoot Beware, Classically Handsome Brutes and Irk.
The organisers of the date, Bad Owl and Chunk, have explained the intention via the following message:
“As some of you will probably know our handsome and bold pal Dan Wild-Beesley, of GUG / Cleft fame has not been too well of late, bravely fighting Stage 4 brain tumours. He’s had a consultation with a specialist Oncologist who has highly recommended a particular treatment to him that isn’t currently done under the NHS. It’s a 3 month, intensive, targeted chemotherapy & well-being course which has shown an 80% success rate in helping patients’ cancer into remission. It’s a treatment that Dan would love to be able to do but in order to do it, it’s going to cost £50,000.
To help we are hosting this special charity event involving bands who all share the same amount of love as we do for him with all profits from the from the night being donated towards Dan’s fund to get him to this special treatment.”

Earlier this year Alpha Male Tea Party released their third album ‘Health’ on Big Scary Monsters, whilst the latest from Bearfoot Beware is their 2015 debut LP ‘World Owes You Nowt’ on Voice of Chunk.
As for Classically Handsome Brutes, last year they released the single ‘Baron Von Sharon’ through Till Deaf Do Us Party, whilst Irk’s most recent release is their 2015 split with Wren.
