At The Drive-In appear on another festival line-up

By Ben Tipple

When At The Drive-In appeared on the Rock On The Range festival line-up, it sparked some questions.

Band member Jim Ward reportedly expressed confusion to a local El Paso newspaper, neither confirming nor denying whether the band would actually be performing.

“Does this mean ATDI will be doing another round of summer festivals as it did when it reunited in 2012?,” Dave Acosta of El Paso Times pondered. “Will El Paso fans be treated to another warm-up show in advance of the Ohio gig or any other yet-to-be-announced gigs? Or is this just an unfortunate false alarm?”

Well, the band have appeared on another line-up, this time for Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Fest. They are joined on the bill by the likes of Deftones, Explosions In The Sky, Against Me!, Parquet Courts, Brian Fallon, The Front Bottoms, Hop Along, Foxing, Beach Slang and Nothing (plus obviously many more).

Surely things are now looking set for the At The Drive-In reunion, but without a formal announcement from the band, and still nothing official since 2013, what that reunion will look like remains unclear.
