Following yesterday’s post on Alpha Male Tea Party’s fundraiser for GUG/ex Cleft’s Dan Wild-Beesley, Axes have confirmed that they too will be peforming in his aid along with Bearded Youth Quest and Exploder Than You this Friday 8th September at The Hope and Ruin in Brighton.
Here’s what co-organisers Small Pond Recordings had to say about the show:
“Our friend Dan of turbo-prog band Cleft fame needs all our help to kick cancer right in the knackers. During a consultation meeting with his oncologist he was recommended treatment abroad with a special cancer clinic, but unfortunately this isn’t covered on the NHS and will cost in the region of £50,000. So we’ve pulled together this awesome line-up of friends to help raise some much needed cash!”

The latest release from Axes is their 2014 album ‘Glory’ on Big Scary Monsters, whilst Bearded Youth Quest’s most recent release is their debut album ‘Yatta!’, which dropped in 2015 via Lonely Voyage Records. As for Exploder Than You, last year they released their sophomore EP ‘Lemon’ through Rabbit Ear Records.
