Belltown hope for 2002 release

Swedish hardcore rockers Belltown hope to release a new full length CD next year. The trio, who have just released their new EP, also hope to tour the UK in the not-too-distant future.

Speaking exclusively to Punktastic, bassist Christian Lundqvist said: “We have just been in the studio doing all the pre-productions for the full length album, so you could watch out for that album being released sometime in 2002.

“We don’t have a date yet as we still in negotiations with some new labels.

“Our US management ‘Pop Music Management’ is working their arses off right now to solve this new deal, but you know this business isn’t like any other and everything is taking so long.

“Hopefully this will be solved in the coming weeks so we could start the real work on the album. ”

You will be able to read a full interview with the band here on Punktastic later this week, where the band discuss Sweden, punk rock and major labels.

One lucky Punktastic reader will also be able to get their grubby mits on a copy of the new EP in a brand spanking new competition, so keep your eyes peeled for that one.
