Emerging out of Austin, Texas, BLXPLTN (or Blaxploitation) deliver a fuzzy take on anarcho-punk, complete with the occasional hip-hop or industrial influence.
Having played Afropunk Fest last weekend, and with SXSW and Red Bull Sound Select behind them, BLXPLTN are now preparing to release ‘Black Cop Down’, their first full-length, in October 2014. The record was recorded with Ikey Owens (The Mars Volta), Autry Fulbright (…And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead), and Elliott Frazier (Ringo Deathstarr).
