Bratmobile announce 2002 plans

Lookout! signings Bratmobile have announced plans to release a new record and to tour the UK in 2002.

In May, the band expect the new CD to hit the shelves. The girls told their official website, ww.bratmobile.com: “Allison has just returned home to DC after a month of writing and practicing in Oakland with Molly and Erin.

“We have 12 new songs right now which we will be recording in January at Toast in San Francisco. Most of the titles are still working titles but some of them are soon-
to-be faves like: “Shop For America”, “Shut Your Face”, “Idiot Lover” and “What’s Wrong With You?”.

“They sound like classics, right? Audrey Marrs, who has been touring with us playing keyboards this year, will be recording with us which we are really excited about.

“Molly is working on another follow up to “Richard” from “Pottymouth” and “Yeah, huh?” from Janelle, so wish her luck because she is nervous about singing!

“We are all excited about these songs and you can expect the record to come out in May on Lookout! Records.”

Also, the Brats will be heading to Europe in February, with UK dates expected to be announced very soon.
