Chris Cornell to front Mad Season reunion

Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell will perform vocal duties for a performance by reunited grunge supergroup Mad Season. The band existed initially between 1994 and 1996 and featured members of Alice In Chains, Screaming Trees, and Pearl Jam, and recorded one critically acclaimed album ‘Above’.

It has been revealed that Mad Season will perform with the Seattle Symphony as part of their Sonic Evolution series paying tribute to Seattle’s legendary music scene. The line up will Consist of original members Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) and Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees), with Chris Cornell on vocals standing in for deceased Alice In Chains front man Layne Staley, and Duff McKagan formerly of Guns N Roses filling the bass player role for John Baker who passed away in 1999.

The event will take place on January 30th, with more information available at the Seattle Symphony website.
