Counterfeit share new video for ‘Enough’

By Ben Tipple

Following on from last year’s ‘Come Get Some’ EP, punk rockers Counterfeit have unveiled their new track and video, ‘Enough’.

The band, fronted by Hollywood actor Jamie Campbell Bower, release their single today before hitting the road in mid-April.

“The band and myself were in the studio recording the instrumental for this single when the attacks on Paris, and most notably the Bataclan happened,” says Bower. “The song originally was about something completely different but upon seeing the horror and savagery inflicted on innocent people I couldn’t let myself not attempt to say anything. Even though this song is born out of one specific incident I wanted to try and address the unnecessary presence of evil that exists within our society today and the frustration and relative anger that, that has inflicted on an entire generation. Above anything this song is about acceptance and love. We consider it our marching anthem.”

We spoke to Bower shortly ahead of the release of ‘Come Get Some’ last year to discuss the move from the West End stage to basement bars, and using Counterfeit as a release for his inner anger.
