Punktastic can reveal that the Deconstruction Stage at the Download Festival has undergone some radical changes. Not Katies have been pulled altogether and other bands, including Brand New, will now play on the stage. Luke from Not Katies contacted Punktastic to explain what was going on, stating that the band will now play the two Deconstructed gigs instead. He said: “It sucks and we’re totally gutted, especially as we’d seen our name in the advertising for a while now, but I guess it was too good to be true. I don’t know if you know the in-and-outs but there have been problems with the stage organisations of the event and they have had to combine the Scuzz stage with the Decon stage which means that bands like Instruction, HIFH, Violent Delight and Brand New have moved to the Decon stage making time very pushed and understandably there just isn’t time for us. But now we’re gonna play the two decon-tour nights at the Mean Fiddler and the Concorde, so that’ll be rad.” My own personal opinion is that the whole festival has been an absolute shambles this year and this blatantly takes the biscuit…
