Drive Like Jehu’s ATP Festival announces more acts, including Soulside

By Ben Tipple

As well as performing for the first time in the UK since 1994, Drive Like Jehu are also curating the newest ATP Festival at Prestatyn, Wales.

The latest additions arrive in the form of The Gories, The Monkeywrench, King Khan and The Shrines, and Mission of Burma. Perhaps most excitingly, Dischord Records’ Soulside will perform 1989’s ‘Hot Bodi-Gram’ in full.

The El Vez Punk Rock Revue, The King Khan and BBQ Show, The Blind Shake, and Betunizer complete the announcement.

“Come all ye faithful and be decapitated by guitars and trampled by goodwill,” says Drive Like Jehu’s John Reis (who is also a member of Rocket From The Crypt). “We promise complete rock n roll immersion and at its very essence a celebration of life itself. Subjecting people to our bad tastes is our deep rooted ambition. So, show up or suck eggs.”

Held at Pontins in Prestatyn, the festival will run on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th April 2016, following on from Stewart Lee’s curated event on the 15th, 16th and 17th at the same venue.

Tickets are available now.
