Check our Sean’s picks below:

3 great albums that came out this year, in absolutely no order.

1. Ultraviolence by Lana Del Rey

I think Lana could be our generation’s Leonard Cohen.

2. Angel Guts: Red Classroom and Unclouded Sky by Xiu Xiu

Two starkly different records by the same entity, I am constantly inspired by Jamie’s range and depth as an artist.

3. St. Vincent self titled

A tonal odyssey. Nothing is cooler than St. Vincent.

3 wonderful songs that were released this year, no order.

1. Grid by Perfume Genius

This year’s Perfume Genius record is an amazing display of artistic growth. Grid from Too Bright is beautiful and terrifying.

2. Die Slow by Hard Girls

An aggressive phrase turned inward, very powerful emotions in this song.

3. Cannibal by Water Liars

A killer riff I couldn’t think up in a million years, a theme I adore, and great raw production.

Stuff I’m looking forward to in 2015:

1. The next and possibly final Death Grips record.

2. John Congleton’s Nighty Nite

3. Jeff Rosenstock’s solo record.
