End of Year Twenty Eight: ROAM

By Maryam Hassan

Throughout December we at PT:HQ are bringing you end of year lists from bands, labels and promoters. We’ll have a new one for you everyday so keep your eyes peeled for them! See all the lists here.

Alex Costello (ROAM)

The best albums for 2014 for me would be…

‘Calloused’ by Gideon;

the whole album is full of awesome riffs and some sick breakdowns!

The Ghost Inside’s ‘Dear Youth’

Didn’t think they could top the last album but certainly shows they very capable.

Trophy Eyes’ ‘Mend, Move On’

They have these passionate songs that really stand out amongst others, it’s what I like to see in music: a lot of passion.

Top songs of 2014 would be…

Seaway’s ‘Your Best Friend’

Too catchy!

‘Loose Ends’ by Real Friends;

The first time I heard this song the chorus stuck in my head for the rest of the day; such a sick song, and I’d say best song on the album.

Trophy Eyes’ ‘White Curtains,’

It’s really emotional and passionate, plus the lead lines are sick!

TIP FOR 2015

Seaway because they write the catchiest songs and I can see them really blowing up in 2015!
