Frameworks are as visceral as they are tender, a quality reflected throughout their new track ‘Purge’. It arrives as the band gear up for ‘Smother’, the follow-up to their beautifully brutal ‘Loom’ LP. The track, alongside its video, are borne out of frustration. As singer Luke Pate tells The Nerdist, it reflects the unwanted – both external and internal.
“Purge’ was written about family members who weren’t around when they should have been and now that I or the band have something they consider deemable of boasting,” he explains, “credit is taken where credit will never be due.”
‘Smother’ is due on the 8th July via Deathwish Inc.
