Taken from Ananova.com – “The organisers of the Glastonbury Festival have been given the green light for next year’s music event. The regulatory board of Mendip District Council approved a public entertainment licence for the festival during a four-hour meeting at the council offices in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. The board voted 10-1 to approve the licence for the event to go ahead in June 2004. Three board members abstained. Some 60 members of the public attended the meeting about the festival held at Michael Eavis’s Worthy Farm in Pilton. The application was approved for up to 150,000 tickets, the same number as last year, for the festival which is due to run from June 25 to 27. A spokesman for the council said the hours of entertainment granted were the same as last year: between 10am and 12.30am on Friday and Saturday and between 10am and midnight on Sunday.”
