H2O plan new record

H20 are planning to release a new record sometime next year, according to bassist Adam Blake.

In a post on the band’s Yahoo club mailing list, the four-stringer told fans that the band are to take a little bit of time out before putting their finishing touches to a new album, hoped to be ready for 2003.

Adam said: “Summer is here and because we’ve been on tour for a full year, we have decided to take some time off. Even though we won’t be on the road, we’re still staying busy. In the next few months we will be taking down the website and completely revamping it and I promise it’ll be way cooler than before. We want to have a lot more interactive stuff on it and also an exclusive fan site with online chats, competitions and a ton of other cool stuff. So keep an eye out for that.

“Moving on, we will be hitting the road for a few weeks in August. These will be the last shows in the USA for while and I promise that they will be well worth checking out. We will be bringing along some cool bands
and will also be using these shows as a chance to premiere some of our new songs in front of an audience. So if you wanna be the first to hear the new H2O songs then be sure to get down to these shows.

“As far as the new record goes, its still in the early stages but already we’re super excited about it. It’s shaping up to be something really special and I promise it’ll be well worth the wait. Hopefully it’ll be out in the early part of 2003 and I promise we’ll keep you updated every step of the way. All we can say right now is that we’re hungrier than ever to make a record that will blow people away and we won’t settle until we have done just that.

“Finally we want to thank everybody for their support of the GO record. It took us around the world and we played a ton of shows on the tours supporting it and it was a blast. You all definitely made it feel worth while for us to spend months at a time away from our homes and helped give us memories that we will hold dear for the rest of our lives. The fact that so many of you came out and supported us, either by buying the record or by coming to the shows (or hopefully both) means the world to us and you guys are definitely valued and much loved members of the H2O family. Thanks for keeping our dream alive.”
