Leicester’s Handmade Festival have announced their first two headliners for 2016, joining a whole host of yet to be announced bands between the 29th April and 1st May.
The three days, taking place at Leicester’s O2 Academy, will feature music, comedy, art, film, performance and photography.
We Are Scientists and 65daysofstatic are the first two acts to be announced for Handmade 2016, with plenty more to come.
“That’s the beauty of Handmade – it is a DIY festival – created and curated with a real love and attention to detail,” says co-organiser John Helps. “It has to beg, borrow and steal in order to exist, but consequently it’s been easy for the whole city’s creative community to get behind and drive it forward together. Without the care and support of so many volunteers and people with incredible imagination and ambition, it wouldn’t ever have existed – and it only continues to do so because of them.”
Handmade 2016 will partner with Alcopop! Records, Big Scary Monsters and Last.fm.
