It seems our mates at Good Clean Fun Records have suffered an overdose of festive cheer because they have even more stuff available to all you lucky punkers.
So, without further ado, here’s Matt and Tom to tell you what they’ve got:
“Hi Everyone! We’ve had shipments from our good friends at Jump Up, Jamdown and Deck Cheese Records. As well as re-stocking sold out titles, we’ve got some new ones in, so read on! ALL CDs £7 POSTAGE PAID UNLESS NOTED – OVERSEAS ADD 25%
“From Jump Up:
First Grade Crush – ‘Our Time Down Here‘ – This CD is 11 songs of super fast ska-punk, fulfilling the potential shown on ‘It’s Not You, It’s Me’. Melodic and hard-hitting and lots of fun – ideal for fans of bands like Less Than Jake.
The Israelites – ‘Roots’ – 15 songs of ska, rocksteady and reggae – these guys are passionate about ska, shown by the interesting liner notes documenting the Los Angeles ska scene. Up there with The Slackers and Stubborn All-Stars as one of the greatest trad ska bands in the world today.
Horace Pinker – ‘Pop Culture Failure’ – You might know Horace Pinker from their release on Fat Wreck Chords. This is a full-length of 11 songs of emo-pop-punk, with great production and catchy tunes.
Dr Ring Ding – ‘Diggin’ Up Dirt’ – The ska master returns with a 15 song CD of dubs, remixes and versions of songs you may or may not know. A great release that confirms the Doctor’s status in the ska scene.
Go Jimmy Go – ‘Slow Time’ – Traditional ska – Hawaiian style!! 13 tracks of trad ska and reggae that you will love to chill out to in the summer. Think beach, think barbecue, think Slow Time!!
From Deck Cheese:
Vanilla Pod – ‘Third Time Lucky’ – A witty title for the third album from the English pop-punkers. Twelve songs, including the single ‘Dead End Town‘. Approved by Lamacq, Kerrang, Metal Hammer, etc.
JesseJames – ‘Shoes EP’ (£5 postage paid) – They toured with The Cheapskates last year, and blew everyone away! They mix a soul sound with pure punk rock – they’re not a ska band, but you can’t help loving them! Title track and anthem ‘Shoes’ is possibly one of the best songs we’ve heard in all of 2001.
“That’s it from us! Ordering details are on the web site, and keep an eye on the web site for a new look in the next couple of weeks. If you’re in the USA, watch out for The Busdrivers rocking your town!
“Thanks for all the support! Matt & Tom – GCF RECORDS
