Hevy Fest 2013 cancelled entirely

By Tom Aylott

Killswitch Engage were due to play at Brixton Academy

After changing to multiple events in London after venue problems with their camping weekender, the Brixton Academy Hevy Fest 2013 has been cancelled. The festival’s Horse The Band show will still go ahead, and the Menzingers show with Tiger’s Jaw will also still take place.

See a statement from the festival below about the cancellation:

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of this year’s festival.

Despite our best efforts to continue without the camping set-up, the change of venue has been more problematic than anticipated. It is time to draw a line under 2013, and look to the future to make sure next year’s festival is everything Hevy should be.

This has been a turbulent year for us, and we are very sorry to have let our audience down.

Ticket holders will receive a refund from their ticket agents.

The HORSE the band show will still take place as planned:
HORSE the band // Saturday 3rd August // The Borderline // Tickets £14
