Hostage Calm die on us now

By Ben Tipple

Connecticut five-piece Hostage Calm are officially no more. The band performed their final show at Toad’s Place in their hometown over the weekend. It came after announcing their intention to break up back in October 2014.

“Hostage Calm has broken up. It’s too soon, it’s too young, and it hurts too much,” they said back in their initial statement. “To all of you who’ve connected with us, who’ve grown with us, who’ve loved, changed, cried, lived with us – and to all of you who will yet – Just know that we loved what we did, and we could never have done it alone,” they concluded.

Prior to breaking up, the band released four studio albums, including the most recent ‘Die On Stage’.

To mark their demise, the band have shared a video of their final performance – the fitting ‘Don’t Die On Me Now’.

RIP Hostage Calm: 2007 – 2015.
