Life Goals reveal video for ‘Anywhere But Here’

Life Goals, the more musically substantial project by singer-songwriter Tom Aylott, have unveiled the video for ‘Anywhere But Here’.

Continuing with his bleak lyrical content, often political and mostly social commentary, the track speaks of a desolate, dead-end hometown.

“‘Anywhere But Here’ was written after a recent trip back home where I met up with an old friend that I don’t see nearly enough of, because life gets in the way and can be a bit of a selfish prick,” Aylott explains.

“We got talking about our teenage years living in the same village plotting an escape, and it’s about that and how disconnect and backwards the South West can feel at times.”

“I produced the track (apart from the drum loops) in the same living room that I filmed the video on my phone in. The track isn’t taken from a specific release but it might end up on one.”
