Locket share new track, ‘Stairdweller’

Austin, Texas post-hardcore outfit Locket have unveiled their new track, ‘Stairdweller’. Blending hardcore with melodic choruses, in line with the likes of Underoath, the track will appear on their forthcoming ‘Never There, Never Was’ EP.

“‘Stairdweller’ was the song we were most excited to get tracked, and the work we put into it really paid off,” the band tell Under The Gun, who are premiering the track. “This song has been our live opener for quite a while, and it really sets the energy level for the show. Our biggest challenge was how to bring that energy on recording. It was definitely a “crank the Marshalls and go” type of session, and it really has the drama of a live performance. Our vocalists really kicked ass with preparation for this track, with both all-out singing and very aggressive dirty vocals, and our producer Joe Milligan really pushed us on how far we can develop vocal production on this song, and the EP as a whole.”

The record will be available from the 13th May via Take This To Heart Records.
