Midnight Masses to release debut album in July

By Ben Tipple

Midnight Masses, featuring Autry Fulbright of …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead, will be releasing their debut full length on the 21st July 2014.

‘Departures’ features contributions by members of The Mars Volta and TV On The Radio, amongst others.

“Midnight Masses is my longest standing creative project and I’m privileged to have my bandmates in …Trail of Dead occasionally join in as well as have so many other friends contribute,” Autry comments. “What started off as a therapeutic way for me to reflect and document the death of several family members and friends has turned into a musical endeavour that draws not just from grief, but the recognition of life. I’ve been heavily influenced by many musicians and visual artists along the way, and intend to convey the story of loss, self-discovery, and hope that permeates throughout.”

Autry set up the project following the death of his father in 2008, and has worked with fellow …And You Will Know Us members Jason Reece and Jamie Miller on the record.

Midnight Masses have released a behind the scenes documentary ahead of the record’s release.
