Canadian punks Pkew Pkew Pkew are streaming their self-titled album in full ahead of release on Friday, and boy is it good. It follows their 2013 ‘Glory Days’ debut, stemming from an advert on Craigslist and the subsequent discovery of a shared love for fast-paced angry punk, and TV theme songs.
At only 21 minutes long, the “album” is an all-out assault of punk mastery, boasting track titles such as ‘Asshole Pandemic’, ‘Let’s Order a Pizza’ and ‘Prequel to Asshole Pandemic’. Sure.
The band will shortly be hitting the road with the likes of PUP and Rozwell Kid, as well as Direct Hit! and Problem Daughter. That puts them in some pretty good company too.
