playlounge announce debut album and stream track

By Ben Tipple

South London’s newly emerging noise-pop-punk duo playlounge have announced the release of their debut album – ‘pilot’ – on the 14th April 2014. The record will be released via Dog Knights Productions, the current home of Punktastic ones to watch, Nai Harvest.

‘pilot’ – deliberately in lower case – follows the release of the band’s first two EPs, ‘Kitten Frenzy’ and ‘Thrash Magic’.

Over the past year the band have drawn comparisons to touring partners No Age, Johnny Foreigner and Los Campesinos!, however their is a more distinct punk undertone in playlounge’s sound, empathised by the distortion fueled ‘zero’.

playlounge will be hitting the road with label-mates Nai Harvest soon. In the meantime the full length can be pre-ordered here.

The full tracklisting for the record:

01 i am a lion
02 skulls
03 zero
04 sick kid
05 daisy chain
06 waves and waves and waves
07 fan fiction
08 lightness
09 gutterball
10 south of the border (William cover) [bonus track]
