California’s Seahaven are to release their second full length effort on March 24th, via Run For Cover. ‘Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only’ apparently ‘captures the dreamy, sprawling, airy southern California mood embodied by the band’s surroundings. The subtle combination of an upper midwestern indie rock aesthetic with so-cal punk and post-punk heritage is brought to life by the uplifting natural production and orchestral instrumentation found on the album. Warm, beach-y reverb blankets equally contemplative and carefree sounding pop that ebbs and flows with rising strings and deft percussion’. Pretension aside, have a listen to advance track ‘Flesh’ to make up your own mind.
