Sonisphere Festival headliners Iron Maiden will see their signature brew bestowed to the heavy metal festival crowd in July. Trooper will be the Official Ale of Sonisphere Festival. Ale aficionados will undoubtedly be pleased to hear that the special batch will be cellar fresh and served chilled.
The ale marks the band’s last stop on their worldwide tour which began back in June 2012. Playing songs from their 1980s catalogue, the band have played to over two and a half million fans in that time.
Brewed in partnership with Cheshire based Robinsons, the beer is available outside of the festival as a cask ale, and in 330ml and 500ml bottles. Sonisphere will also be providing limited edition plastic bottles while stocks last.
Sonisphere Festival takes place from the 4th to the 6th July, and – alongside Iron Maiden – will be headlined by The Prodigy and Metallica (who recently were released from their exclusive agreement in order to headline the iconic Glastonbury Festival).
