Chicago based singer-songwriter Mike Petruccelli is streaming his new EP, ‘Don’t Make This Weird’, in full ahead of release. It follows 2013’s brilliant ‘No Refrain‘, and continues to showcase Petruccelli’s broad range of influences. Its existence is even more impressive when you consider that he has also been recording and touring with Chicago stalwarts Rapids and Tens.
Don’t expect the typical singer-songwriter fare here either. ‘Don’t Make This Weird’ is a full band experience disguised as a one-man outfit. It drifts from hauntingly mesmerising to the upbeat and fuzzy, and back again at the blink of an eye.
Basically, it’s pretty great.
