Stream the new Melvins album, ‘Basses Loaded’

By Ben Tipple

Now in their third decade as a band, Melvins are streaming their new album ‘Basses Loaded’ ahead of its release on the 3rd June 2016 via Ipecac Recordings.

The twelve track record features six bassists as well as Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic. It’s testament to their unconventional sound, continuing the channel elements of metal (see ‘War Pussy’) and minimalist grunge on an overtly eccentric and eclectic album.

We caught up with the trio (of sorts) late last year for a quick chat about the future.
