Suburban Legends to release Disney themed mini-album

By Ben Tipple

Orange County ska-disco-funk ensemble Suburban Legends will be releasing a small collection of Disney classics, re-imagined in their signature style, on the 26th May via Rock Ridge Music.

‘Dreams Aren’t Real But These Songs Are’ began when the band preformed as the house act at Disneyland California, leading to the appearance of the likes of ‘You’ve Got A Friend In Me’ and ‘A Dream Is A Wish’ on the record, taken from Toy Story and Cinderella respectively.

Suburban Legends have, alongside their Disney days, enjoyed stints with Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake amongst other ska-punk veterans.

“What keeps us motivated is that we believe in what we do,” lead vocalist, guitar player and trumpeter Vincent Walker muses. “We have fun making music, and we love sharing it with other people. It’s such a positive thing. We want to continue making as many people happy as possible.”

Suburban Legends will be touring towards the end of April and start of May, in support of the new release.
