Taken from ap.net: “The Format will enter the studio this month to begin recording their sophomore album. The band has spent the past six months writing the follow-up to their debut album, Intervention & Lullabies. They’ll go into the studio with over twenty songs in progress. The band will be working with former Red Kross founder and member, Steve McDonald, at the production helm. In addition to co-producing all of the Red Kross albums, Steve has produced records for The Donnas, Imperial Teen and Be Your Own Pet. The new album is entitled Dog Problems and has an estimated release date of May 2006. The band are also currently in discussions with numerous labels for a future deal after parting ways this fall with Atlantic Records (who had inherited the band from the now defunct Elektra Records).”
