The JCQ call it a day and announce final shows

By Ben Tipple

After 8 years as a band, Eastbourne based The JCQ (formerly The James Cleaver Quintet) have decided to call it a day.

Citing a mutual lack of dedication towards the band as the reason for the split, the band’s official statement goes on to recall their action packed history with thanks given to Hassle Records and Tangled Talk amongst others.

Many of the band members will continue in other outfits including Death Rattles and Mermaids on Heat.

The band will be playing five final shows in March, taking in some of the towns and cities which have meant a lot to them over the past 8 years.

MARCH
18 LEEDS TBC
19 BIRMINGHAM Sunflower Lounge
20 SOUTHAMPTON Avondale House
21 EASTBOURNE Underground Theatre
22 LONDON Old Blue Last (Free Show)
