The Other Stars unveil new track, ‘Green My Eyes’

By Ben Tipple

The Other Stars sit on the verge of releasing the brilliant ‘We Were Kids’, due for release on the 29th April 2016. Destined to draw comparisons to contemporaries The Front Bottoms, The Other Stars are a shining light in underground indie-punk, having already revealed ‘Home Is Where You Make It’.

The Massechussets four-piece have now unveiled their new track, ‘Green My Eyes’. Speaking to Substream Magazine, who premiered the track, vocalist Connor Bird explains the track is about post-break up regret. “It’s funny because when you break things off with somebody, after a while it’s all these weird little inconsequential traits about them that you start to miss,” he explains, “stuff you barely ever noticed before but now they’re like these monumental things that no one else will ever be able to live up to. The name is taken from a really great short story by Salinger called ‘Pretty Mouth And Green My Eyes,’ and that kind of holds some relevance too, if you read it.”

‘We Were Kids’ is available to pre-order now via Take This To Heart Records.
