The Promise Ring announce ‘Nothing Feels Good’ reissue

By Glen Bushell

Iconic emo band The Promise Ring have announced they will be reissuing their seminal 1997 album ‘Nothing Feels Good’. It will be released on October 30th on vinyl and cassette via Jade Tree Records, and will be available to pre-order from September 17th. In addition to the news of the reissue, never before seen footage of The Promise Ring performing at Jade Tree’s 2000 CMJ Showcase in New York is being streamed over at Pitchfork.

The Promise Ring split in 2002 following four full-length records and several EP’s, and have had a handful of brief reunions since, but this will be the first time that ‘Nothing Feels Good’ has been available for 14 years. Pre-orders will be available from the Jade Tree webstore, and you can watch the new live footage below.
