You may recognise Tom Aylott from such endeavours as Speaking Tongues and Punktastic (whatever the hell that is), but our former Editor has spread his wings into the world of solo-artistry, recording and streaming his debut EP. Recorded in a day using basic equipment at home (his words), all five tracks are streaming via SoundCloud and available to download for free via the Speaking Tongues store.
“Have a listen before I hate them so much I remove them from the internet forever,” he says, gearing up for his debut solo appearance alongside Seán McGowan at The Monarch in Camden on Monday 30th November.
Aylott has also revealed that he will be recording the tracks with a full band, to be released under the moniker Life Goals. The exact date of this is yet to be confirmed.
