Tom Aylott reveals new track, ‘Concubines’

By Ben Tipple

Ahead of his support for Novella at London’s Old Blue Last on Saturday 16th January, musician and former Punktastic editor Tom Aylott has unveiled his new track, ‘Concubines’. The song was written and recorded shortly after Aylott’s return from a trip to South East Asia, inspiration for the concept on his forthcoming EP.

“The track is about Cambodia in a sort of roundabout way and sounds like a mix of Lady Gaga’s You And I and Aerosmith or some shit. I ask for no forgiveness apart from having to resort to some fake drums,” he says on his website of the track. “The whole release is a bit of fun and I haven’t decided whether I’ll add the songs to a live set yet.”
