Tom Aylott unveils reworked track, ‘Commission’

By Ben Tipple

Singer-songwriter Tom Aylott has unveiled his reworked solo track, ‘Commission’. Aylott, who also plays in Rob Lynch’s band and The Gospel Youth, wrote the track about the relationship between the media, parliament and the public; a particularly poignant theme as the UK goes into the EU Referendum vote.

“If we hide away behind nationalism, the UK will become an impotent joke in a single generation,” he explains in a lengthy post, introducing ‘Commission’ and its b-side, a cover of ‘If You Tolerate This Then Your Children Will Be Next’ by the Manic Street Preachers.
