UK ska hopefuls Uncle Brian are back with a bang and will be heading out to a town near you this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Punktastic, Dan told us what the band have been up to in the year that they have been out of action, becoming free agents and a forthcoming US tour!
Dan said: “Things have been a bit of nightmare for us really,
we’ve now offically left Moon Ska Europe. There’s a lot of reasons for this but i’m not going to go into them, I think it’s just a case of the wrong label for us.
“Now we’re booking all our shows oursleves with a bit of help from some agent/promoter/label friends of ours.
“In the last two months or so we haven’t we haven’t played any shows, we’ve been writing and recording new stuff, talking to agents, managers & labels… we’ve been busy, just not the kind of busy that everyone else can see…
“Also, we’ve been booking
our own tour and with help from my best friend Liz, building a new website. We’re sorry to all of our peeps that we haven’t been playing as much, but the Summer tour marks the way of things to come for us, already we’re booking up September.. probably another three weeks of touring then. And then this September/October we’ll be on tour in America with Bowling For Soup!”
So, get your skanking shoes on for Uncle Brian when they come to a town near you…
