Verses call it a day

By Ben Tipple

A fortnight after releasing their latest track, ‘Invisible Lovers’, Brighton rockers Verses have announced their break-up.

“It’s not an easy thing for us to tell you all, but the time has come for us to call it a day,” the band state via Facebook. “The four of us are still best mates and still as close as we’ve ever been, but we’ve simply reached the end of the line as a band. It’s difficult to explain why, but various things happened over the last couple of years that forced us into a long period of inactivity, draining the life out of us and resulting in a lack of enthusiasm. It would be totally unfair for us to continue doing this without putting 100% of ourselves into it.”

“Despite all that, we’ve had an absolute blast over the last few years and we can’t thank you all enough for believing in us,” they conclude.

Verses released their ‘Feel It Faster’ full-length in the summer of 2014, and had most recently been in the studio with Romesh Dodangoda. We wish them all the best in their futures.
