Last night I was at the Scunthorpe Rock Open (where you can see Milk2Sugars in 2 weeks time) and I came across two absolutely brilliant bands – two of the best unsigned groups I have come across in ages. The first were SUBONYX, a pop-punk trio from Scunthorpe, playing The Starting Line-influenced pop-punk gems. Very, very good.
The second were an ’emo’ band from Grimsby called THE NEXT AUTUMN SOUNDTRACK who were the best band I have heard in ages. Coming across like At The Drive In meets early Jimmy Eat World, these guys (and gal drummer) were spot-on and well recommended.
