The world’s got enough chat shows, right? Well, wrong. Last night saw the release of the pilot episode of the world’s first heavy metal chat show, Two Minutes to Late Night. Far from just a gimmick, the online show features Mutoid Man as its house band, and episode one welcomes Ben Weinman from the Dillinger Escape Plan and Laura Stevenson as its first guests, all hosted by Jordan Olds and Drew Kaufman.
There’s much more to come too. Rather than just a talk show (although this is far from just a talk show), the minds behind Two Minutes to Late Night will also be releasing a number of sketches. The first has already seen house band Mutoid Man cover Tom Jones on the subway, and the pilot episode sees Weinman head to an open audition for an R&B band in New York too.
