Currently on tour with Real Friends and Modern Baseball, Florida’s You Blew It! have confirmed the release of a five track Weezer covers EP on the 15th July 2014. The record will also be available in vinyl format from the 12th August.
Entitled ‘You Blue It’ (get it?), the EP arrives shortly after Weezer celebrated the 20th anniversary of their critically acclaimed eponymous debut.
“The Blue Album means a lot to us,” Tanner Jones explains. “Aside from them being one of the few bands we can unanimously agree on, they’re one of the most defining bands of our generation. I’m not sure that we would be a band without Weezer, so this was just the best way we could come up with to pay tribute to them. Plus holy shit it was fun. Oh and “You Blue It” was too good of a pun to pass up so whatever.”
The five tracks receiving the You Blew It! treatment are:
