Chastity’s ‘Saliva’ is not just a great track, but a f**k you to intolerance

If the sight of an interracial male couple kissing makes you uncomfortable, you’re probably not the audience that Canadian noise-punks Chastity are looking for anyway. Sticking the middle finger up to ignorance, ‘Saliva’ is not just noisy, but deliberately provocative.

“It’s discomfort for those given no reason to feel uncomfortable in the first place.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

But even behind the message, the socially and politically charged art-house video, ‘Saliva’ is a great slab of angry punk that sits shoulder to shoulder with the equally brilliant METZ.
