Powerful, violent, brutal, beautiful. One of these is not like the others, but Gainesville’s Frameworks more than make it work. ‘Time Spent’ is just stunningly good. Everything that made the band the benchmark of modern day screamo is present and correct, but with a new expansive synth sound that effortlessly projects it to another level. This is easily one of the best tracks of the year, and (although this statement will need some serious consideration) close to, if not the, best thing Frameworks have ever released.
