Head Wound City are scraping from the inside out

If you, like me, have felt a void since Seattle’s The Blood Brothers disbanded back in 2007, Head Wound City might go some way to fix that hole. And not just fix it. They will pack it full of brash, urgent screams and dirty riffs, packing enough force to give you a head wound all your own.

‘Scraper’, their first track since their 2005 self-titled EP, is explosive. Exactly the type of noise you’d expect when members of The Blood Brothers and seminal grindcore outfit The Locust get together. “I’m scraping from the inside out,” Jordan Blilie spits. It certainly sounds that way.
