Hear Little Brother’s spiteful sweetness

On ‘Cleveland, OH’ Little Brother presents both his sweet and sour sides, switching from the saccharine “I’d rather die on the plane flight home than disappoint you in years to come,” to the spitting “I would have killed that motherfucker with my bare hands” through the course of his storytelling. It’s a twisted love-story, one of unrelenting devotion and destructive jealousy. Ultimately one that explodes into screamed emotion, a nod at Little Brother’s day-job as John Floreani of Trophy Eyes. The anger bubbles under the surface of the beautiful melody and vocal tones, as unsettling as it is stunning. Little Brother is moonlighting at its best.
