10 Albums That Need The Album-In-Full Treatment For Their Anniversaries Next Year

By Tom Aylott

Opinion is divided over the increasing trend for album shows, but everyone’s probably got an album that they’d wank off a tramp to watch live and in full.

I had fun on Twitter finding out what people would REALLY want to see live, and I thought to myself that there’s probably at least ten with anniversaries next year that I’d love to go and watch myself…

01 Rancid – ‘Rancid’ [1993]

Why: Because it’d just be something amazing to watch 20 years on.
Best bit: ‘Hyena’ into ‘Detroit’
Likelihood: 0/10

02 Fall Out Boy – ‘Take This To Your Grave’ [2003]

Why: Because it’d sell about a million tickets.
Best bit: ‘Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy’ into ‘Saturday’
Likelihood: 0/10

03 Against Me! – ‘As The Eternal Cowboy’ [2003]

Why: Because it’s the best early Against Me! album (sorry Axl fans)
Best bit: ‘Mutiny On The Electronic Bay’ into ‘Sink Florida Sink’
Likelihood: 0/10

04 Alkaline Trio – ‘Good Mourning’ [2003]

Why: Because it’s basically wall to wall hits.
Best bit: ‘Blue Carolina’ into ‘Donner Party (All Night)’
Likelihood: 0/10

05 NOFX – ‘The War On Errorism’ [2003]

Why: Because it’d be the sort of thing NOFX and their fans would find funny and hate at the same time.
Best bit: ‘Franco Un American’ into ‘Anarchy Camp’
Likelihood: 0/10

06 Billy Talent – ‘Billy Talent’ [2003]

Why: Because Billy Talent are back with a bang with an awesome new album and this would be excellent.
Best bit: ‘Try Honesty’ into ‘Line & Sinker’
Likelihood: 0/10

07 Rise Against – ‘Revolutions per Minute’ [2003]

Why: It’s the second best Rise Against album, which makes it roughly in the top 98% of punk albums ever.
Best bit: ‘Like The Angel’ into ‘Voices Off Camera’
Likelihood: 0/10

08 Mad Caddies – ‘Just One More’ [2003]

Why: Because it’s one of the best ska records ever and arguably the Caddies at their very best.
Best bit: ‘Drinking For 11’ into ‘Contraband’
Likelihood: 0/10

09 Lightyear – ‘Chris Gentlemens Hairdresser and Railway Book Shop’ [2003]

Why: Because it’d give them another excuse to tour and get their dicks out again.
Best bit: ‘Nuff Cutts’ into ‘Don’t Count Your Horses’
Likelihood: 0/10

10 Adequate Seven – ‘Songs of Innocence and of Experience’ [2003]

Why: Because they haven’t done any reunion shows and we need at least one
Best bit: ‘Human Condition’ into ‘Gotta Stay Focused’
Likelihood: 0/10

… and now I’m going to go and have a cry because none of these are ever going to happen.
