Ever been on a date so bad that you just wished somebody would come and kidnap you? Never? Well, Catch Fire must have been to come up with the concept for their new video, ‘Bad Behaviour’.
The video in question marks the launch of their debut EP, ‘The Distance I Am From You’, but it’s not all brand new; fans may recognised the outfit as Nottingham pop-punks Layby. However Catch Fire sees them make a definite drive forward since the acquisition of new vocalist, Miles Kent.
And the name? The band are making sure fans don’t think it’s about The Hunger Games. Instead, it’s far more illogical. “Neal [Arkley – guitar] is ginger, and there isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t verbally assault him for it, though we know we shouldn’t,” says guitarist Tim Bell. “Neal walked into practice one day, and Ash [Wain – drums] said “Neal, I think your head’s caught fire. That’s it. Band name sorted… we don’t have anything against gingers by the way, just to clear that up!”
And on that revelation, here’s ‘Bad Behaviour’. ‘The Distance I Am From You’ will be available from the 5th February 2016 via Rude Records, home of Light Years and Knuckle Puck, among others.
