Enjoy the fleeting summer moments in the new Nudes video

By Ben Tipple

Summer is a fickle concept. As the rain pours outside office windows, it’s easy to forget the sun soaked frivolity of days gone by and hopefully those to come. Yet rain is far from the minds of London punk trio Nudes. Featuring members of Playlounge and Saturday’s Kids, their lo-fi sound on ‘Constant Summer’ parts the clouds and lets the rays dominate.

“I had the initial idea for the video months before filming but Sion & Stu laughed it off, thinking there was no way that I was serious about sailing down the river in Hackney Marshes,” Saam Watkins explains of the carefree and spontaneous video, in-keeping with the track’s style. “My idiocy ended up being a really fun day and our inflatable ended up being half price. The magical middle section was all Stu’s brainchild, giving the video a breakaway in the middle to find some resolution.”

“Thanks to Dean for helping us film,” Saam adds. “Thanks to nature for being cool.”

‘Constant Summer’ is taken from Nudes’ forthcoming self-titled LP. The record will be available in limited edition black and limited edition half yellow half blue. Both are available to pre-order via Dog Knights Productions in conjunction with Barely Regal Records, released on the 25th September 2015.
